Leveraging the Jardines Network

The 7-Eleven Franchise Project aims to create a sustainable model that provides more job training opportunities for individuals in their mental health recovery. On September 1, 2022, we established a cooperative relationship with 7-Eleven and opened our first franchise store in Tseung Kwan O Hospital and operated it 24 hours a day. As the program owner and franchisee, MINDSET is committed to empowering individuals in recovery through meaningful employment opportunities, while 7-Eleven provides valuable store operations advice and support. In addition, MentalCare Connect Co Ltd， a subsidiary of the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, also provides essential pre-employment training for persons in recovery and manages the daily operations of the store. Through this collaborative effort, we build skills and provide reintegration opportunities into the workplace, making a positive impact on the lives of persons in recovery.

The MINDSET Ambassadors programme was launched in July 2023, bringing together like-minded and passionate individuals across Jardines to support MINDSET in creating a sustainable impact for mental health. Our ambassadors actively contribute towards MINDSET and the community through three core areas: Education; Fundraising; and Job Training & Social Enterprise. Through this programme, ambassadors are also exposed to professional training and networking across the Group.

Mindbrew is a pilot project co-organised by MINDSET and the Jardine Restaurant Group, in support of Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service. The programme aims to empower persons in recovery through attaining practical skills in coffee brewing – thus boosting their confidence, equipping them with practical skills and providing them an opportunity to take the first step in their coffee career. Mindbrew currently has two physical locations and promotes mental health awareness through roadshows.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day in October, MINDSET, together with partners across Jardines, organises a series of mental health related activities throughout the month.

The annual event kickstarted in 2021, and has since expanded in size and scale to include mental health talks and mindfulness workshops.

The Jardines Mental Wellness Month aims to promote healthy minds across Jardines employees and also raise awareness of mental health issues to educate and inform colleagues.

The Jardines Colleague Volunteering Programme (“CVP”) was launched in 2021 to give Jardine employees across the Group an opportunity to take an active role in supporting the communities we are engaged in. Through the CVP, many Jardines colleagues have put their hand up as a dedicated MINDSET volunteer and support in terms of event participation, skills-based volunteering and more.
