Hongkong Land, Dairy Farm and Maxim's Give Strong Support to MINDSET
Hongkong Land raised over HK$2 million for MINDSET when it organized the inaugural CENTRAL Rat Race 2006 on 15th October, 2006. The CENTRAL Rate Race through Hong Kong's Central Business District was a team-relay and obstacle-ridden contest based on the annual 'Rat Race' events in New York and Toronto.

The team from the Dairy Farm group took first place and received 'The Rat Race Cup'. An executive of Colliers International walked away with the trophy for the 'Big Rat Race', which had participation from many senior executives including Anthony Nightingale. Gammon grabbed 'The Fat Rat Award' for the team raising the most funds with their contribution of HK$200,000.

On the other parts of the Group, Maxim's, Dairy Farm's 50%-owned associate, celebrated its 50th anniversary with a donation of HK$1 million to MINDSET. Meanwhile, Dairy Farm donated over HK$1.3 million to MINDSET in celebration of its 120th anniversary.

置地、牛奶公司及美心踴躍支持「思健」
置地公司於二○○六年十月十五日主辦首屆「鼠戰中環」接力障礙賽，共籌得超過二百萬港元善款，以支持「思健」推廣精神健康。這活動概念源自紐約及多倫多每年所舉辦的活動，今年首次於香港舉行，將中環商業區變成接力賽道，供來自多間公司的代表團隊競技。

結果，牛奶公司隊搶先完成全程，勇奪「鼠跑盃」殊榮。而賽道較短的「鼠王爭霸戰」亦獲得多名高級行政人員參加，包括怡和大班黎定基等。最後「至尊鼠王盃」寶座由高力國際的代表贏得。金門建築隊則以二十萬港元的善款，成為籌款最多的隊伍，獲頒「最強捐款隊伍獎」。

另外，牛奶公司持有五成權益的美心集團剛慶祝成立五十周年紀念，並捐贈了一百萬港元予「思健」。同時，牛奶公司亦捐出一百三十萬港元予「思健」，以慶祝公司成立一百二十周年。

Recognition of the Group's Contribution in the Community
Led by the Jardine Ambassadors, the Job Placement Programme was fully launched across Jardines with an aim to provide training and employment opportunities to rehabilitated individuals within the Group.

Nominated by Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service, one of our major partners in the Programme, Jardine Matheson Group was awarded the 'Distinguished Employer Award' by the Social Welfare Department in recognition of the Group's contribution in supporting the self-reliance and employment opportunities of the people with disabilities. The 'Support the Employment of People with Disabilities Award' Presentation Ceremony was held on 24th November 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

On the other hand, the Jardine Ambassadors was awarded with 1st runner-up in the 'High Service Hour Award (2005) - Private Organization' with over 32,000 service hours in the year 2005. The Volunteer Award Presentation Ceremony 2006 organized by the Social Welfare Department is scheduled for 2nd December 2006 at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in Aberdeen.

怡和服務社會獲嘉許
由怡和親善大使融合小組作主導、在怡和集團全面推行的「就業安排和培訓計劃」，旨在為精神病康復者提供培訓機會，助他們回復自信、重投社會。這計劃除了得到各集團公司全力支持外，最近更榮獲社會福利署嘉許。

浸會愛群社會服務處是「就業安排和培訓計劃」的主要合作夥伴之一，在其提名下，怡和集團榮獲社會福利署頒贈「熱心僱主榮譽獎」，以表揚集團支持殘疾人士就業所作出的貢獻。嘉許典禮將於十一月二十四日假香港會議展覽中心舉行。

另外，怡和親善大使去年又以三萬二千多小時的服務時數，在「二○○五年最高服務時數獎－私人團體組別」中贏得了亞軍。社會福利署已定於十二月二日假香港仔香港醫學會舉行「二○○六年義工嘉許典禮」。

Jardine Ambassadors Programme Launch 2006
Over a hundred guests attended the Jardine Ambassadors (JAs) Programme Launch Ceremony 2006 on 18th September 2006. The ceremony was divided into three sessions: an overview of activities organized by the Jardine Ambassadors to enhance guests' understanding of the Jardine Ambassadors Programme as well as MINDSET; recognition to those JAs who had served their two-year tenure in promoting mental wellness to the community and serving the needy; and to welcome the newly on-board ambassadors.

This year, the Chairman's Award for the most outstanding performance by an ambassador was won by Fanny Hung of Hongkong Land.

怡和親善大使二○○六年送舊迎新會
一百多名來自怡和集團屬下公司及各部門的嘉賓出席了九月十八日舉行的「二○○六年怡和親善大使送舊迎新會」。整個儀式分為三個環節：怡和親善大使匯報過往舉辦的活動以加深各嘉賓對「思健」及「怡和親善大使計劃」的了解和認識；表揚已完成兩年任期的怡和親善大使對推動精神健康所作的貢獻；以及歡迎新加入的怡和親善大使。

今年、置地公司的洪寧姿成為表現最傑出的怡和親善大使，並獲頒發主席大獎。
